NASA astronaut Anil Menon and science creator Mark Rober are scheduled to speak with students during a live Earth-to-space call on November 4. The broadcast begins at 11 am US Eastern Standard Time, or 9:30 pm IST, on NASA’s YouTube channel.

In a November 3 announcement, the agency said Menon would join from the International Space Station to answer questions about working in microgravity, astronaut training and the technology behind human spaceflight. Rober will participate from California.

NASA says the National STEM Day programme will demonstrate how everyday tasks and experiments change in orbit.

The call also marks a collaboration between NASA and the ClassCrunchLabs Foundation to widen access to STEM learning in the United States. The event had not taken place at publication time.
