Keysight Technologies introduced its XR3 oscilloscope on November 3, adding a compact measurement instrument for engineers working with rack-based test systems. The company said the device occupies one rack unit and combines four analogue channels with 16 digital channels.

The instrument uses a 14-bit analogue-to-digital converter and offers selectable bandwidths from 200 MHz to 1 GHz. Keysight said multiple units can be synchronised to support more than 100 time-correlated measurement channels within a larger system.

The design is intended for applications such as manufacturing, aerospace testing and physics research, where adding conventional bench instruments can take up substantial rack space. Keysight also said the XR3 provides 100 million measurement points of memory per channel and supports analysis features including protocol decoding and power-supply testing.

These specifications are manufacturer statements rather than results of an independent product test. The announcement focuses on instrument design and integration; it does not establish an India-specific retail price or delivery schedule. Engineers evaluating the product would need to match the available bandwidth and channel configuration to their particular testing requirements.
