Hanwha Aerospace held a completion ceremony for its new dedicated rocket-production facility in Suncheon, South Korea, on November 4. The Yulchon Industrial Complex site will assemble and test major space launch-vehicle components, including hardware for the Nuri programme.

The company’s official announcement says work for Nuri’s sixth flight, planned for 2027, will include 75-ton-class engines and assembly and performance verification of all three rocket stages. It also envisages production for next-generation vehicles and reusable-technology demonstrators.

Aju Press reported that the plant is intended to support closer cooperation with domestic suppliers. Hanwha also held a cooperation ceremony with 40 participating partner companies at the opening.

Hanwha says it aims to enter the global launch market with its own vehicle in 2029 and begin commercial services in 2033. Those dates are future company targets, not completed launches. The immediate milestone is the completion of manufacturing infrastructure rather than a new rocket flight.
