Tomas Hertl scored twice on the power play as the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3–2 on November 3. His second goal, in the final minute of regulation, settled a closely fought game at PPG Paints Arena.

Vegas led 1–0 after Hertl opened the scoring late in the first period. Neither side scored in the second, but Pittsburgh turned the game around in the third through goals from Tommy Novak and Rickard Rakell.

Trevor Connelly brought the Golden Knights level with a breakaway goal. Vegas then survived a late five-on-three Pittsburgh power play before receiving a man advantage of its own. Mark Stone supplied the pass for Hertl’s decisive finish.

Adin Hill made 23 saves for Vegas, while Pittsburgh’s Arturs Silovs stopped 20 shots. Mitch Marner assisted on the opening goal to extend his point streak to 11 games. The result ended a two-game losing run for the Golden Knights, who continue their road trip in Detroit on November 5.
