A new outlet for produce from farmers practising natural farming opened in Valsad on November 3. The Prabha Natural Farming Produce Sales Centre forms part of a plan for 10 kiosks across the Gujarat district, according to reporting based on ANI inputs.

The centre’s announced range includes fresh vegetables, fruit, grains and honey. It also sells farming inputs including Ghan Jeevamrut, Gomutra, Beejamrut and Jeevamrut, giving cultivators a supply point as well as a channel for selling their produce.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the outlet and inspected the products. Finance and Urban Development Minister Kanubhai Desai and member of Parliament Dhaval Patel attended the opening.

IANS reported that the planned kiosk network is intended to organise the link between farms and retail customers and improve growers’ access to markets. The ten-outlet figure describes the proposed district network, rather than ten shops already operating. No completion schedule for the remaining kiosks was specified in those reports.
