British teenager Mika Stojsavljevic claimed her first WTA Tour main-draw victory on November 4, defeating Sofia Kenin 6–3, 4–6, 6–4 in the first round of the Hong Kong Tennis Open.

The 17-year-old entered the draw as a lucky loser after losing in qualifying. She took the opening set and led the second 3–0, but Kenin recovered to force a decider, the WTA reported.

Stojsavljevic regrouped to win the third set 6–4. Tennis.com’s completed match record confirms the three-set score on Centre Court.

The result came at her sixth attempt to win a WTA main-draw match, according to the tour. It takes her into the last 16 of the WTA 250 event, ending Kenin’s singles campaign in Hong Kong.
