Lucrezia Stefanini moved into the second round of the Chennai Open with a 6–2, 6–2 victory over lucky loser Rada Zolotareva on Tuesday, November 3.
The tenth seed dropped four games across the two sets to complete her opening-round win at the WTA 250 tournament. The result ended Zolotareva’s first appearance in a WTA main draw.
The WTA’s official match summary confirms both the straight-sets score and Zolotareva’s main-draw debut. Stefanini took the first set 6–2 and repeated that margin in the second to advance without a deciding set.
Tennis.com’s completed match record independently lists the same score for the first-round contest on Court 2. The result gives Stefanini a place in the last 16 of the Chennai tournament.
