Sandisk announced Indian availability and pricing for its updated Portable SSD and Extreme Portable SSD on November 3, extending a product family introduced globally earlier this year.

The 1TB Portable SSD starts at ₹18,999, while the 1TB Extreme Portable SSD starts at ₹29,599. FoneArena reports that both are available through major e-commerce platforms and retail stores in India.

The standard Portable SSD offers advertised read speeds of up to 1,000MB/s and comes in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities. The Extreme version raises the advertised maximum to 2,000MB/s and adds a 4TB option. These are manufacturer performance figures, not independent benchmark results; actual speeds depend on the connected device, interface and usage conditions.

The standard model carries a three-year limited warranty, compared with five years for the Extreme version.

Sandisk's global portfolio announcement dates to February 24. November's news concerns Indian availability and rupee pricing, rather than the first unveiling of the drives or a newly demonstrated storage technology.
