Juuse Saros stopped 29 shots as the Nashville Predators defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4–1 in Nashville on November 3. The result gave the Predators consecutive victories for the first time this season and lifted their record to 6–4–5.
Nick Perbix opened the scoring in the first period after Filip Forsberg found him with a pass across the ice. Forsberg created Nashville’s second goal as well, setting up Roman Josi early in the middle period.
Jackson Blake reduced Carolina’s deficit to 2–1, but Nashville kept the visitors from drawing level. Adam Edstrom redirected Josi’s shot in the third period to restore a two-goal cushion, and Ross Colton completed the scoring into an empty net.
The Predators’ penalty kill also protected the lead, holding off Carolina’s opportunities with the extra skater. Saros’ performance helped Nashville withstand early pressure before its attack found a rhythm.
Carolina dropped to 12–3–2. Nashville’s next scheduled game is away to the Colorado Avalanche on November 5.
