Pampa: Textiles of Karnataka is on view at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Bengaluru, with the exhibition scheduled to continue until December 15. NGMA and the Abheraj Baldota Foundation organised the show, which opened on November 1.

The exhibition brings together Karnataka’s weaving traditions and the communities associated with them. According to material described by The Bengaluru Live, the displays include Ilkal, Mysore silk, Molakalmuru, Udupi, Charaka and Bangalore silk sarees, alongside furnishing fabrics from Yadgir.

Lambani textiles from Sandur and Kasuti work from Dharwad also feature, as does a revived Anekal saree. The selection gives visitors a way to explore several regional traditions within the state rather than a single style of textile.

The venue is Manikyavelu Mansion, 49 Palace Road. NGMA’s official notice lists opening hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. The gallery is closed on Mondays and national holidays.
