India’s Nucleus Software announced on November 4 that Shinhan Finance in Vietnam has selected its FinnOne Neo 9.0 platform to modernise consumer lending operations. The agreement extends the software company’s business in a market it first entered through an implementation in 2012.

Shinhan Finance plans to deploy customer acquisition, loan management and collections modules. The planned coverage includes personal and vehicle finance, consumer loans, credit cards and bundled offerings such as Omni Loan.

According to the company’s exchange-filed announcement, Shinhan DS Vietnam will act as system integration partner. The selection followed an evaluation and proof-of-concept process, with local implementation and support among the considerations.

Nucleus established a wholly owned Vietnamese entity and a Hanoi office in February 2026. The new engagement builds on that presence rather than marking its first entry into the country. The announcement does not disclose a contract value or a completion date. Benefits such as greater automation and faster product launches remain intended outcomes of the forthcoming implementation.
