Twenty additional Namo Bharat train trips are being introduced on the Delhi–Meerut corridor from November 4, NCRTC has announced. The change is intended to encourage more commuters to choose public transport.
The extra services will operate along the corridor between Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi and Modipuram in Meerut, according to the corporation’s statement reported by PTI on Tuesday.
For travellers combining different services, the corridor connects with the Delhi Metro, Indian Railways, inter-state bus terminals and city buses at hubs including Sarai Kale Khan, Anand Vihar, New Ashok Nagar and Ghaziabad. The available connections differ by station.
NCRTC also said station parking is available and its Namo Bharat Connect app provides live parking information. The announcement does not give departure times for the additional trips, so passengers should check current service information rather than assume a new fixed interval between trains.
