Markolines Pavement Technologies said on November 4 that it had received two work orders from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for microsurfacing and resurfacing on Mumbai’s Eastern and Western Express Highways.

The company’s exchange filing puts the combined value at ₹135.20 crore, including applicable GST and physical contingencies. The Eastern Express Highway work is valued at approximately ₹63.23 crore, while improvements to the Western Express Highway’s main carriageway account for approximately ₹71.97 crore.

Both contracts specify six months for execution, including the monsoon. The company said BMC awarded the work after accepting its tender offers.

The disclosure concerns road-surface work rather than a new highway or additional lanes. It does not set out a start date, identify individual work stretches, or announce lane closures and traffic diversions. Motorists should therefore rely on separately issued municipal or traffic-police advisories for any changes to their journeys.
