Magellanic Cloud said on November 3 that premises for the drone manufacturing and testing facility of its MCRAY XTEND India joint venture are ready. Production equipment, testing capabilities and commercial operations are to be introduced progressively.

The company owns 60% of MCRAY. The venture was announced in April with Rayonix Tech in collaboration with Israel-based XTEND, whose XOS software supports the planned drone platforms.

The facility is intended to bring assembly, calibration, system integration and flight testing together. Magellanic Cloud said MCRAY is positioned as the Indian manufacturing and distribution partner for selected XTEND platforms.

The latest disclosure concerns physical premises, rather than the start of full commercial manufacturing. The release does not give a fixed commissioning date, initial production volume or customer order. Those remain important distinctions for readers assessing how far the project has progressed beyond the earlier joint-venture announcement.
