Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi recorded her first WTA main-draw victory on Tuesday, November 3, beating Katarzyna Kawa 6–4, 2–6, 7–6(5) at the Chennai Open.

The 17-year-old Indian wild card recovered from 5–2 down in the deciding set to defeat the eighth seed. The WTA’s official match summary confirmed both the comeback and the career milestone.

Rajeshwaran took the first set before Kawa levelled the contest by winning the second. A final-set tiebreak settled the match after the Indian player fought back from her three-game deficit.

The victory puts Rajeshwaran into the second round of the WTA 250 event in Chennai. Tennis Majors’ completed scorecard independently confirms the three-set result and November 3 match date.
