Jupiter Wagons announced on November 4 that it had received an order worth approximately ₹61 crore from Balmer Lawrie and Company for three railway rakes and a brake van. The value includes taxes.
The company’s stock-exchange disclosure states that the order arrived on November 3 and covers BFNS22.9T wagons. Jupiter said the contract would add to its order book in railway rolling stock manufacturing. The filing did not give a delivery schedule or specify when revenue from the order would be recognised.
This is separate from the company’s November 2 announcement of ₹324.04 crore in automobile-wagon business: a GATX India letter of intent and a Chetak International firm order. The latest disclosure names a different customer and a different wagon type.
