The Winnipeg Jets recovered from a four-goal deficit to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 5–4 in overtime at the Bell Centre on November 3, ending a nine-game losing streak. Dylan Samberg scored the winner three minutes and 30 seconds into the extra period.
Montreal still led 4–0 with less than three minutes remaining in regulation. Tyrel Bauer began Winnipeg’s recovery with his first NHL goal, and Morgan Barron quickly added another. Kyle Connor then scored twice in 27 seconds, including a power-play equaliser with 33 seconds left.
Associated Press reported that the turnaround was the latest successful comeback from four goals down in NHL history. The Jets had scored their four regulation goals within two minutes and six seconds.
Jacob Fowler made 42 saves for Montreal but could not stop the late surge. The victory offered Winnipeg an immediate response to its previous outing, a 7–0 loss to Carolina, and gave the team its first win since October 13.
