Yashasvi Jaiswal and Yash Rathod scored unbeaten centuries as India A drew the second four-day match against New Zealand A in Christchurch on November 3. India A finished their second innings on 282 for two at Hagley Oval, after conceding a 78-run first-innings lead.

Jaiswal made 155 from 162 balls, while Rathod finished on 100 from 122. Their unbroken third-wicket partnership added 247 runs after India A had slipped to 35 for two, taking the visitors clear of the early pressure.

Jaiswal hit 15 fours and five sixes, reaching his hundred from 119 deliveries. The innings followed a first-innings duck for the opener, who also passed 5,000 first-class runs during the match.

Earlier, captain Dhruv Jurel’s 105 had helped India A make 346. New Zealand A replied with 424, with Mukesh Kumar taking five wickets for 87 runs. Both opening matches of the series have ended in draws. The third and final four-day game is scheduled to begin in Lincoln on November 7.
