The International Semiconductor Industry Group has scheduled its first India executive summit for November 3 and 4 at The LaLiT in New Delhi, with advanced chip packaging and power electronics among the main subjects. The organiser’s programme also covers artificial intelligence, data centres and semiconductor supply chains.
Ahead of the meeting, co-founder and chief executive Salah Nasri said the closed-door gathering would bring together industry executives, investors and government officials. Business Standard reported on November 2 that the group wants to connect discussions about new facilities with the practical work needed to develop them.
The published summit topics include semiconductor design, government strategy, investment priorities and building India’s power-electronics supply chain. Santosh Kumar, president of ISIG’s India chapter and chief executive of Paras Semiconductors, told reporters that stronger domestic capabilities and suppliers should be central to that effort.
Belgian research centre imec also lists its participation, with a presentation on open chiplet ecosystems and the shift from data-centre computing to edge AI. The organiser notes that the programme is subject to change.
