Funding for Indian technology companies fell to a 12-month low of $592.5 million in October, according to Tracxn data reported by PTI on November 4. The total was 24.3% below September’s $782.8 million and 56% below the $1.35 billion recorded a year earlier.

The decline was concentrated in later-stage deals. Late-stage funding dropped to $153 million from $539.8 million in September, a fall of about 72%. Early-stage investment moved in the opposite direction, rising to $361.6 million from $168.6 million and accounting for roughly 61% of October’s total.

Seed funding edged up to $77.9 million from $74.3 million. Tracxn counted 104 funding rounds during October, compared with 81 in September and 180 in October 2025.

The figures show why deal counts and total capital can move differently: more transactions were recorded than in September, but a much smaller late-stage contribution pulled down the overall amount. These are reported technology-sector figures, rather than a measure of every investment in India.
