Imphal–Japan Harmony Week is under way in Manipur, with calligraphy, Japanese films and an anime-inspired art competition on a programme running until November 7. The event opened on November 1 at the Imphal Peace Museum in Nambol, NorthEast Now reported.

The museum and Manipur Tourism Forum are organising the week with support from the Japan Foundation. Their published schedule places a discussion on Japanese language, skills and work opportunities at the museum on November 4.

Two creative events move to Imphal Art College: a Manipuri–Japanese calligraphy workshop on November 5 and an anime and manga poster-making competition on November 6. The closing ceremony is scheduled at the museum on November 7.

The organisers say the events are free and open to the public, and recommend advance online registration for workshops and panel discussions. Visitors should check the venue for the individual activity, rather than assume every session takes place at the museum.
