The Indian Institute of Science has issued a November 3 correction to UGC NET JRF cutoffs for three programmes in its 2026–27 mid-year PhD admissions process.

The revised scores cover Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Medical Sciences and Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences. The unreserved-category cutoff is now 250 for all three. For the first two programmes, the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe cutoffs are 200; for Mathematical Sciences, both are 190. Applicants should consult the official corrigendum for the complete category-wise figures.

The original October 29 report asks applicants who exceed the relevant cutoff but have not received an interview call to email admission.acad@iisc.ac.in or ar.acad3@iisc.ac.in by 5 pm IST on November 4, attaching their application form and entrance-test rank or scorecard.

That contact deadline is not a new application window. IISc also specifies that candidates using the NET JRF route must hold the JRF fellowship; eligibility for lectureship or assistant professorship alone does not qualify.
