IIM Ahmedabad reported on November 3 that all 44 students in its 2026–28 food and agribusiness management batch had secured summer internships. The new disclosure covers a hybrid placement process that concluded on October 27, rather than a recruitment event held this week.
The institute’s dated release lists more than 30 participating companies, with Bayer Crop Science emerging as the largest recruiter. Students are expected to undertake their internships between April and June 2027, according to independent reporting by The Indian Express.
Fast-moving consumer goods companies accounted for 15 students, followed by agricultural inputs and agricultural technology businesses with 13. Consulting firms recruited six students and quick-commerce businesses three. Climate technology and healthcare each accounted for two, while three students secured internships in other sectors.
The institute said a more detailed, audited report would follow under the Indian Placement Reporting Standards. Its November 3 announcement provides the sector breakdown but does not publish stipend figures.
