Indian Hotels Company has announced an agreement for a 100-room Ginger hotel in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The November 4 announcement describes a greenfield project to be developed through an operating lease arrangement.

IHCL is partnering with The Jagmal Group through Jagmal Logistics and Industrial Parks Pvt. Ltd., according to the company announcement published by Hospibuz. The proposed facilities include a Qmin all-day restaurant, a bar, meeting spaces and a fitness centre.

The project is intended to serve visitors to the city’s commercial, industrial and cultural areas. IHCL said the addition would take its Uttar Pradesh portfolio to 64 hotels, including 27 under development.

This is a development signing, not an opening announcement. The release does not specify a launch date, and travellers should not treat the planned hotel as accommodation already available to book.
