Artists and creative groups across India can apply for the sixth season of Art for Hope, after Hyundai Motor India Foundation announced a ₹60 lakh grant programme on November 3. Applications close on November 15.

The foundation, Hyundai Motor India’s corporate social responsibility arm, says it will award 50 grants. Its announcement identifies six categories: visual art, digital art, performing art, traditional art and craft, functional art, and multidisciplinary projects.

This season’s theme, India in Motion, asks applicants to examine change in the country’s ideas, identities and aspirations. Selected participants are also promised mentoring and an opportunity to exhibit at the Art for Hope Festival.

The programme’s application guidance asks for a project proposal, a detailed budget and a portfolio of earlier work. Portfolios should be supplied as a PDF no larger than 2MB, with accessible links where relevant. Eligibility differs between individual and institutional applicants. Artists should check the applicable rules and participation terms before submitting, including provisions governing exhibition, documentation and use of their work.
