Google has opened its experimental Dreambeans app to adults in India, extending access to Android and iOS users from November 3. The Google Labs service creates personalised daily collections of visual stories.
According to Google’s launch announcement, users choose which services supply information for those collections. The options include Calendar, Gemini, Gmail, Google Photos, Search and YouTube. Suggested subjects range from places to explore and craft activities to reminders about local events.
People can open individual stories for more information, bookmark them for later or share them. They can also give feedback to influence future recommendations. The India release supports 14 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese and Nepali.
TechCrunch reported that stories use one chosen language at a time, rather than mixing languages within the same story. The app remains an experimental product, and Google is inviting feedback as more people try it.
