The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway has outlined technology workshops and heritage-film screenings for the Ghum Winter Festival, which runs from November 28 to December 6. The detailed programme was announced on November 3.

A robotics workshop is scheduled at Sukna railway station from November 30 to December 2. On December 3, a Himalayan AI Innovation programme is planned for students aboard a heritage train between Kurseong and Darjeeling, according to The Times of India’s report, which quotes DHR director Rishab Choudhary.

The cultural calendar includes railway-heritage films at Ghum Open Air Museum on December 2 and a literature festival on December 4. The closing celebrations are scheduled at Darjeeling’s Chowrasta on December 6.

Visitors should distinguish public programmes from invitation-only activities: the December 1 familiarisation train is intended for media. Participation arrangements for individual workshops and rides should be checked with organisers before travel.
