Two solo exhibitions are scheduled to begin on November 4 at Experimenter’s Kolkata galleries, bringing Pallavi Paul’s Salt Moon to Hindustan Road and Vikrant Bhise’s Neel Ambar to Ballygunge Place.
Salt Moon is listed through January 9, 2027. Paul combines film, screen prints, embroidery and brass text works to explore memory, loss and care. The presentation includes How Love Moves, a film set in Delhi Gate cemetery, and works from her Everything is Still Damp series.
At the other venue, Neel Ambar is scheduled through January 2, 2027. The gallery describes it as Bhise’s first solo presentation in Kolkata and with Experimenter. His work draws on Ambedkarite thought, using blue as a recurring visual element in explorations of equality, labour and cultural identity.
The exhibitions are at separate addresses: 2/1 Hindusthan Road and 45 Ballygunge Place. Visitors should check the relevant gallery listing for current visiting arrangements before travelling.
