Bengaluru-based EloElo Group announced an $80 million Series C funding round on November 4, led by Hornbill Capital and NBCUniversal. The financing takes its total fundraising to $130 million.

MIT Investment Co. and existing backers including Play Ventures, Kalaari Capital, Waterbridge Ventures and Griffin Gaming Partners also participated, according to Moneycontrol’s report and founder interview.

The company plans to spend the money on premium original programmes in Indian languages, international expansion and further development of its Dolphin AI creative suite. Story TV, its microdrama service, delivers short serialised stories designed for viewing on phones.

Founder Saurabh Pandey said overseas expansion remained at an exploratory stage, with the United States among the markets being considered. No firm launch date was announced.

EloElo’s product portfolio also includes microlearning app Master and AI companion Voxy AI. The new round finances the group’s expansion plans; it does not by itself establish that its overseas service or planned public AI offering is already available.
