Birdwatchers recorded 46 species during a guided walk at Delhi's National Zoological Park on November 1, as the zoo marked its 67th Foundation Day with activities for visitors.

According to the Environment Ministry's account, 18 people joined the 19th Sunday Bird Walk, led by ornithologist Paritosh Ahmed with volunteer support. The group observed more than 500 individual birds during the three-hour session. These figures describe the participants' observations, rather than a census of the zoo's bird population.

The anniversary also included a doodling activity intended to get families and other visitors thinking about wildlife and conservation. The programme combined creative participation with an opportunity to practise identifying birds outdoors.

For future Sunday walks, the zoo says groups are limited to 20–25 participants and advance registration is compulsory. Registration opens Monday to Friday through links on its official website and the NZP Saathi app, with places allocated in order of registration. Visitors should confirm the next session's arrangements before travelling.
