A Digital Life Certificate camp at Punjab National Bank’s Parliament Street branch in New Delhi helped pensioners and family pensioners with face-authentication-based submissions on November 3, according to the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare.

The programme formed part of the fifth nationwide Digital Life Certificate campaign. Officials used the event to explain the service and assist people with the process, alongside interactions with older pensioners.

In its account of the camp, the department said pensioners can generate certificates using smartphones. Joint Secretary Dhrubajyoti Sengupta also highlighted doorstep assistance through banks and post offices for people unable to visit camps or complete the process independently.

The department said digital life certificates were introduced in 2014 and face authentication followed in 2021.

Pensioners seeking help should confirm the available arrangements with their pension-disbursing bank or local post office.
