A two-day seminar on cyber-enabled cognitive warfare concluded in New Delhi on November 3, with discussions on how artificial intelligence, digital manipulation and cyber capabilities can affect perceptions and decision-making.

The Centre for Joint Warfare Studies organised the event under Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff. Air Chief Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, Chief of the Air Staff, addressed the closing day and stressed coordination between participating institutions.

According to the defence ministry’s account, sessions examined training, simulation, institutional capacity and possible responses to emerging threats. Digital governance, ethical questions and legal frameworks were also part of the agenda.

Participants considered how information influence can create challenges beyond technical weaknesses in computer systems, including effects on institutional trust. Discussions included identifying responsibility for hostile activity and coordinating responses across organisations.

Former Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan also gave a special address. Representatives came from defence, government, academia, technology and media.

The concluding announcement described a forum for preparedness and cooperation. It did not disclose a new operational system, procurement decision or specific cyber incident.
