An exposition of the Piprahwa relics associated with the Buddha has begun at Tawang Monastery in Arunachal Pradesh, with later stops planned in Bomdila and Namsai, according to the Ministry of Culture.

The ministry said the relics were brought from the National Museum in New Delhi and received at the monastery in Tawang. The programme is organised with the Arunachal Pradesh government, the International Buddhist Confederation and the National Museum.

The published schedule lists Tawang Monastery from 1 to 7 November, TGL Monastery (Lower Gompa) in Bomdila from 8 to 13 November, and the Golden Pagoda in Namsai from 14 to 20 November. The relics are scheduled to return to New Delhi on 21 November.

An accompanying exhibition explains the Piprahwa archaeological discoveries and the history of relic veneration, the ministry said. Visitors should confirm local timings, entry requirements and travel conditions with organisers before setting out.
