Bharat Kala Bhavan at Banaras Hindu University remains closed to visitors on November 4, the final day covered by a three-day closure order issued for renovation work ahead of Expo 2026.

The museum’s signed office order, dated November 1, says entry for visits is suspended from November 2 to 4 while different renovation works take place inside the museum. BHU’s website lists the notice under its November 2 announcements.

The restriction is relevant to travellers planning a cultural stop at the university campus in Varanasi. It applies to museum visits, rather than announcing a closure of the university as a whole. Families and groups should rearrange that part of their itinerary instead of relying on the museum’s usual visiting hours.

The notice does not specify a reopening time after November 4 or provide an Expo timetable. Visitors planning a later trip should confirm access with the museum before setting out. The contact number printed on the order is 0542-2369227.
