Barcelona defeated Aston Villa 3-0 at Camp Nou on November 3, with Lamine Yamal scoring early and Raphinha adding two second-half goals. The result ended Villa’s perfect start to the Champions League league phase and moved Barcelona to nine points from four matches.
Yamal opened the scoring in the seventh minute after intercepting a misplaced pass. Villa remained a threat before the interval, but the home side protected its one-goal advantage through to half-time.
According to Barcelona’s official match report, Fermín López supplied the pass for Raphinha’s first goal in the 52nd minute. The Brazilian’s shot deflected off Pau Torres before beating goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Raphinha scored again twelve minutes later after João Cancelo created the opening, giving Barcelona a three-goal cushion. The goals and their timing were independently corroborated by detikSport’s match coverage.
Barcelona then saw out the closing stages without conceding. Both teams finished the evening on nine points, with the league-phase schedule still to be completed.
