The University of Allahabad has moved teaching in all its departments and centres to online mode for November 4 and 5, according to a notification posted on its website on November 3.

The registrar’s notice says faculty members must conduct the online classes from their respective university departments and centres. Teaching is to follow the prescribed timetable, so the change concerns the mode of instruction rather than a two-day suspension of classes.

The order was issued with the approval of the competent authority and circulated to deans, department heads, directors and coordinators, along with administrative officials. It does not give a reason for the temporary arrangement or name a common digital platform for the classes.

Students should therefore check their department’s usual communication channels for the relevant class links and attendance instructions. The notice specifies only November 4 and 5; it does not announce an extension beyond those dates. Students can consult the university website for any further official notification before changing their study plans.
