Forty-two Air Force Schools have joined ScrollControl, a child digital safety programme run through the Information Sharing and Analysis Center Foundation, the Ministry of Defence announced on November 2. The Indian Air Force Educational and Cultural Society is leading the initiative.
The ministry said 261 teachers had completed certification as Cyber Crime Intervention Officers. Their training covers recognising online risks, preserving digital evidence and providing an initial response when students need help.
Participating schools will be able to establish cyber clubs, offer student cyber-safety certification and organise awareness sessions for parents and staff. The programme also gives families access to an age-appropriate content-rating platform, according to the announcement.
ISAC is providing the teacher training and a round-the-clock support network involving legal, psychological and digital-forensics specialists. The ministry linked the initiative to CBSE guidance on regular cyber-awareness activities. The announcement describes the programme’s planned support and capabilities; it does not report measured reductions in online incidents.
